My first job at the clinic was to learn the laboratory. Here we do malaria slides, T.B slides, white blood cell counts with differentials, various chemistries and other interesting things. The lab runs tests for both expatriates (missionary families) as well as the nationals who come to the clinic.
Franzie and Rachel have been great teachers. Franzie is from Switzerland, but grew up herself in PNG as a missionary kid. Rachel is from PNG and has worked in the lab for 30 years. It's been great to get to know them.
