This was one of the spots we would bath, wash dishes and wash clothes at. Most of the time the water was as warm as a bath tub. We'd often go "was was" as they called it, once in the morning, and once again at mid-afternoon because we'd be so hot, and needed to cool down. Typically, the women and children had their own spot, and the men would go to their own spot. Doug did come with me sometimes to help carry the wet laundry back to our house. I never did manage carrying a bunch of things on my head. The boys were thrilled not to have to take "regular" showers. Swimming twice a day was fine with them.
